The adsorption of chondroitin sulfate (CS) molecules into collagen fibrils was tested by Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA, HS273-SH, Shanghai hengyuan Biotech, China). A curve (Figure S13) was generated by measuring the OD450 intensity of a series standard concentrations of CS (600 μg/L, 300 μg/L, 150 μg/L, 75 μg/L, 37.5 μg/L), enabling quantification of the CS in the solution before and after incorporation into colllagen. All measurements were performed in triplicate to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
